Thrilled to to share that after a 4 month long selection process, I have been appointed as the new Music Director at the Peterborough Concertband. I am very excited to start working with this incredible group of musicians starting January of 2020. The Peterborough Concert Band is one of the oldest, continuously operating community concert bands in all of Canada, and I am honoured to be a part of its history.
Very busy weekend from July 25-28 with Tirgan Festival 2019 with 3 performances on 2 days.
1. Thursday July 25th, as part of the opening ceremony, a new composition of mine will accompany dance and story-telling of Banafsheh Taherian.
2. Saturday July 27th, with Bijan Sepanji and The Rogue Duo at 5pm at the Harbourfront centre.
3. Sunday July 28th, with The Circle Music Band- گروه موسیقی دایره at noon at the Distillery District.
4. Sunday July 28th, with Rogue Duo at 5pm at the Harbourfront centre.

A short excerpt from my "New Horizon" for Wind Ensemble performed by the Scarborough Philharmonic Winds under the baton of Ronald Royer.
I’m very excited to be able to share that I had the utmost honour of serving as one of the judges in the The JUNO Awards 2019 in the classical section. It was a humbling experience listening to all the fantastic music Canadians are creating. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees especially the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, theGryphon Trio and Ana Sokolovic for their awards.
My music will be performed quite a lot in March and February. Here is a list of the performances, many of which are world-premiers.

As part of Nuit Blanche 2018, alongside the Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto ICOT, and LADOM Ensemble I had the pleasure of having my music based on the Fables of Rumi for young audiences performed at the Agha Khan museum.
This concert is an extension of the performances the duo did during their recent residency at the University of Tehran.
The Concert features works by George Bizet, Bela Bartok, Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Rachmaninov, Eugène Ysaÿe and Maria Molinari as well several brand new pieces by Mehrdad Jafari Rad and Canadian Composers Sina Fallah and Saman Shahi.
This promises to be an exciting performance and one not to be missed.

I am so excited to be working once again with the Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto, ICOT in creating a one woman opera about the story of immigration.
"Journey: Notes of Hope" is the story of displacement and diaspora, and is the story of millions of people who have had to fled their homes to find a brighter future.
We have a fantastic creative team for this project and I cannot wait for it to come to fruition.
A highlight of my residency at the University of Tehran, where I gave lectures, composition workshops and also performed with my colleague Bijan Sepanji.
Pianist Marina Simeonova gives a beautiful recital at the Glenn Gould School of Music, and also performs my "Etude No.1" for Piano solo perfectly !
This Saturday, April 14th the Central Bucks high school West Choir from Pennsylvania led by Dr.Joseph Ohrt will give 15 world premiers of new works, commissioned by them by Canadian And US composers including a short piece of mine at the Metropolitan United Church on Queen street and Church at 7:30 pm.
This is a free concert and there will plenty of exciting and beautiful music, so it is not to be missed !
My piece "Smog" for Acapella choir is written based on the poetry of Toronto based poet Anna Yin.

I had the ultimate pleasure of conducting the opening ceremony of Tirgan Nowruz Festival 2018 at George Weston hall on March 9th 2018.
As part of this performance, I had the absolute privilege to conduct Maestro Hossein Alizadeh's Neynava for String Orchestra.
So excited for the world premier of my work "Microtlocking" for 6 digital pianos by the junQtin Keyboard collective at the Wilfrid Laurier University.
