As part of Nuit Blanche 2018, alongside the Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto ICOT, and LADOM Ensemble I had the pleasure of having my music  based on the Fables of Rumi for young audiences performed at the Agha Khan museum.

Violinist Bijan Sepanji and Pianist Saman Shahi join forces one more time to give a concert full of exciting music, both old and new. Rogue Duets !

This concert is an extension of the performances the duo did during their recent residency at the University of Tehran.

The Concert features works by George Bizet, Bela Bartok, Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Rachmaninov, Eugène Ysaÿe and Maria Molinari as well several brand new pieces by Mehrdad Jafari Rad and Canadian Composers Sina Fallah and Saman Shahi.

I am so excited to be working once again with the Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto, ICOT in creating a one woman opera about the story of immigration.

"Journey: Notes of Hope" is the story of displacement and diaspora, and is the story of millions of people who have had to fled their homes to find a brighter future.

We have a fantastic creative team for this project and I cannot wait for it to come to fruition.

A highlight of my residency at the University of Tehran, where I gave lectures, composition workshops and also performed with my colleague Bijan Sepanji.

Pianist Marina Simeonova gives a beautiful recital at the Glenn Gould School of Music, and also performs my "Etude No.1" for Piano solo perfectly !

This Saturday, April 14th the Central Bucks high school West Choir from Pennsylvania led by Dr.Joseph Ohrt will give 15 world premiers of new works, commissioned by them by Canadian And US composers including a short piece of mine at the Metropolitan United Church on Queen street and Church at 7:30 pm.
This is a free concert and there will plenty of exciting and beautiful music, so it is not to be missed !

As part of this performance, I had the absolute privilege to conduct Maestro Hossein Alizadeh's Neynava for String Orchestra.

So excited for the world premier of my work "Microtlocking" for 6 digital pianos by the junQtin Keyboard collective at the Wilfrid Laurier University.
